Microsoft and Apple Boot Camp Rejection!

Running Winodws operating systems on an Apple machine just got a little bit harder, and easier, all at once.

Apple has released Boot Camp Support Software 5. This allows you to run Windows as well as Mountain Lion, at the same time. This is great for developers, as well as for running those apps that aren't yet supported on Apple.

Check Your SSL Certificates Expiration Date… MICROSOFT!!

On Friday, Microsoft suffered a 9 HOUR outage that affected Microsoft Azure and Xbox Live. This brought down a variety of services. Who was a culprit? It was an expired SSL digital certificate.

Digital certificates are used to create an encrypted communications path. You use these any time you type HTTPS:// as opposed to HTTP://. The certificates help with identifying the server and are managed by a CA. These certificates have a defined life time and, like a driver’s license, expire.
